The
husband and wife writing team of Dennis Adair and Janet
Rosenstock started their partnership in 1974 and
incorporated as Free Lance Writing Associates in 1982.
Dennis has a degree in political science and French from
Sir Wilfred Laurier University in Waterloo Ontario and an
education degree from the University of Toronto. Janet
has degrees in political science and English literature
from San Diego State University and UCLA. The writing team has credits in advertising, journalism, and both have been magazine editors. The authors have also written nonfiction, worked on Canadian television projects, written educational material and been ghost writers on fiction and nonfiction. On occasion they have worked as editorial rewrite consultants. They entered the book publishing world in 1979 when they wrote the novelization of RIEL for General Publishing in Toronto. This was soon followed with the historic novel THE FIRE, THE SWORD, and THE DEVIL and AVON BOOK'S historic Romance series, THE STORY OF CANADA. Their pen name Joyce Carlow was created in 1981 with the release of EMERALD'S HOPE. |
